Launch Recruitment have been engaged by a leading enterprise organisation seeking Data Centre Technicians to join their team in Sydney as soon as possible. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position for the right candidates.

Candidates based in Melbourne who are looking to relocate to Sydney are strongly encouraged to apply.

As an ideal candidate for the role, you will have:

• Previous experience replacing and maintaining hardware within Data Centres (non-negotiable)
• The ability to monitor Data Centre systems and networks for issues, responding to alerts appropriately
• Experience managing and troubleshooting physical cabling, ensuring safe and secure connections between devices
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and professional conduct
• A proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
• The ability to follow safe work practices and procedures at all times
• Comfort with manual handling tasks, including lifting equipment and using hand tools
• The ability to work in Data Centre environments that may be noisier and experience hotter or colder temperatures than a standard office setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• A valid NSW Driver Licence and access to a vehicle, as sites are not accessible via public transport
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make informed decisions regarding hardware diagnostics and replacements, coupled with a willingness to learn
