Diesel Motor Mechanics
- Perform service and repairs on diesel engines and mobile plant machinery.
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

SA Tractors Pty Ltd is looking for a self-motivated and driven qualified Diesel Motor Mechanics to work in our Cavan workshop in Adelaide, South Australia. Working across construction, landscaping, agriculture, and quarrying, you would perform service and repairs across a broad range of machinery including new machine preparation, fault finding, hydraulic & electrical repairs and rebuilds. The main focus is on construction equipment but will include working on machines servicing the agricultural and quarrying industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, service and repair diesel engines and mobile plant machinery used in construction, agriculture, landscaping and quarrying.
- Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance, preventative servicing and component replacements on mobile equipment.
- Repair, overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and other machinery components.
- Install, test and commission new machinery and prepare equipment for delivery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery control systems, wiring and related components.
- Conduct operational tests and inspections to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Identify defective or worn components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate service records and document repairs, maintenance and parts used.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and manufacturer specifications when carrying out repairs and servicing.
