Truck Driver (shift work)
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
- Transport goods to designated areas in warehouses and shipping terminals.
- Monitor and control refrigeration units and inspect equipment for wear and damage.
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s WHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
- Running maneuvering, navigating, or driving HC Truck Licence Vehicles
- Able to monitor and control TC refrigeration units
- Ability to use technology and scanners
- Application of load restraint to freight loads
- Manual handling of freight items
- Rolling load restraint freight straps
- Stickering freight for transport
- Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage
- Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up
- Transporting goods to designated areas in warehouses, and shipping terminals
- Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerized monitoring equipment.

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
- Experience & knowledge of warehouse and transport industries
- HC License required
- Experience in warehouse in a cross- dock facility environment.
- Experience in a freight scanning environment
- Use of scanning equipment.
- Stocking of freight.
- Packing and labelling of items for shipping.
- Loading and unloading. Using forklift to safely load & unload stock.
- Prestart checks – Vehicle 360 checks, HME maintenance, tyre pressures, cleanliness of HME.
- Safety compliance.
