About Our Client
Our client is a well-established supplier of HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration products and materials servicing trade and commercial customers across Perth. They are seeking a reliable and hands-on Workshop/Manufacturing Assistant to join their Bibra Lake team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, physical work and is comfortable using power tools, with the potential for ongoing employment for the right candidate.
What you will be Doing
The successful candidate will assist with the fabrication and assembly of HVAC ductwork within the workshop. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is physically fit, practical and comfortable working with tools while following instructions and maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Duties include:
- Assisting with the fabrication and assembly of HVAC ductwork
- Measuring, cutting and assembling ductwork to required specifications
- Using power tools including jigsaws, drills and cut-off saws
- Assisting tradespeople with general workshop and manufacturing duties
- Handling and moving ductwork and materials safely
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and instructions
- Reporting any hazards, issues or incidents to the appropriate person
- Working effectively as part of a team and assisting with general duties as required
- Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor
What you will need
- Comfortable and competent using power tools
- Physically fit and capable of handling, moving and assembling ductwork
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Previous workshop, manufacturing, construction or trade assistant experience highly regarded
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of workshop duties
