Job Description
Dental technician
- Constructing and repairing dental prosthetic appliances, including full and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, veneers, and orthodontic devices based on prescriptions provided by dental practitioners.
- Preparing and modifying dental models and impressions to ensure the accurate fabrication and fitting of dental appliances.
- Designing, shaping, and finishing dental prostheses using a variety of materials, including acrylics, ceramics, composites, and metal alloys.
- Operating specialised dental laboratory equipment and computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems to produce precise dental restorations and appliances.
- Inspecting completed dental appliances for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications, making adjustments where necessary to achieve the required fit and function.
- Maintaining detailed laboratory records and ensuring compliance with infection control, workplace safety, and quality assurance standards throughout the production process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
- At least 1 year of work experience;
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Organised, reliable, and motivated to grow with the business.
Annual salary: $79.423 - $ 85.000 + superannuation (+ 38 hours of work per week)
