Days Maintenance Fitter – FMCG Manufacturing

Monday to Friday | Day Shift
$51.50 per hour + Overtime + Super
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer. This is a permanent day shift role offering excellent work-life balance, regular overtime opportunities, and long-term job security within a busy production environment.
Working as part of a proactive maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets.
The Role
- Carry out preventative, reactive, and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise plant reliability
- Perform maintenance on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, and associated production machinery
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders through the site's maintenance system
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment performance and operational efficiency
- Maintain high safety and quality standards at all times
About You
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
- Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on high-speed production and packaging machinery
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
