Your new companyA leading provider in structured cabling and fibre installations is seeking an experienced Data Technician / Fibre Technician to support growing project demands across commercial and data centre environments. Your new roleAs a Data Technician, you will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing fibre and copper cabling systems across a variety of sites. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will ensure all installations meet industry standards and client requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Fibre Technician Experience
- Proven experience with fusion splicing of singlemode and multimode fibre
- Strong knowledge of fibre testing using equipment such as Fluke, EXFO, or AFL
- Ability to interpret test results and ensure compliance with specifications
- Data centre experience is highly desirable but not essential
Telecommunications Technician Experience
- Installation of Cat 6a cabling systems
- Termination of 24-port patch panels
- Experience in testing Cat 6a using Fluke test equipment
- Strong understanding of structured cabling standards
