Are you ready to start a rewarding career in banking? As a Customer Service Representative, you will join our team in providing great service and support to IMB Customers in relation to their financial needs. This is a full-time, 12 month contract working in our branch network across the Hunter Region (Broadmeadow, Charlestown, Glendale and Green Hills).  

About the role 

  • Helping customers with their banking and insurance needs face to face, over the phone and online 
  • Exploring new opportunities to find the right financial solutions  
  • Using various technologies, systems and digital platforms 
  • Cash handling, balancing and administrative duties 
  • Working with Branch Managers and teams to collectively achieve the goals and objectives 
  • Maintaining a high level of operational adherence in line with company and regulatory standards, policies and procedures. 

About you 

  • Experience in customer service, in any industry 
  • Available to work full-time, Monday-Friday  
  • Demonstrated interest, experience or education relating to financial services 
  • Cash handling experience and an accurate eye for detail    
  • A learning mindset and ambition to build a career in the banking industry 
  • An aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office programs/apps 
  • Honest, reliable and member focused  
  • Take pride in diligently following procedures and policy in a regulated financial environment 
  • A flexible approach in the workplace, can take initiative, prioritise and problem solve to complete daily work requirements  
  • A genuine desire to help people, work directly with customers as well as work with and support a team 
  • Willing to travel within the region as required for training and staff relief.
