Minimum Requirements:

What you will be responsible for:

  • Design, install, configure, test and maintain servers, workstations, networking equipment, software applications and related infrastructure for healthcare clients.
  • Plan and deliver end-to-end IT projects for new practices, network upgrades, practice relocations, cloud migrations and technology refreshes, including technical documentation.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to medical and dental practices, taking ownership of service requests, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN, firewall, proxy, DHCP and other network services to support secure and reliable practice operations.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows environments, virtualisation and related business systems.
  • Support and integrate medical and dental practice management software and associated systems, ensuring network and server environments are compatible with client applications.
  • Implement and maintain secure backup, disaster recovery, antivirus and data protection solutions designed to protect confidential practice and patient information.
  • Perform network health checks and proactive monitoring, analyse performance events and bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to network, server, cloud and security environments.
  • Assess and recommend appropriate hardware, software, server and cloud options based on client requirements, including on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain network diagrams, asset and inventory records, configuration documentation, maintenance procedures and technical support records.
  • Record diagnosis, resolution and follow-up actions for network and system faults, enhancements, upgrades and maintenance activities, and communicate technical outcomes clearly to clients and internal teams.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a managed service provider (MSP) environment, preferably supporting medical, dental or other professional service clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT networks, servers, workstations and infrastructure, including troubleshooting and systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of network technology and principles, including VLANs, subnetting, firewalls, VPNs, proxies and related security controls.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows environments and virtualisation technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience supporting cloud migration, hosted services and hybrid IT environments.
  • Understanding of data backup, disaster recovery, antivirus, cybersecurity and the protection of confidential business and healthcare information.
