Role Overview

A leading Australian infrastructure organisation is seeking a Commercial Manager to support the delivery of major capital projects across a long-term investment program in New South Wales.

This senior role sits at the centre of project delivery, providing commercial leadership across complex infrastructure works. You will oversee commercial strategy, contract management and financial governance, working closely with project, legal, finance and executive stakeholders to ensure strong commercial outcomes across large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management across major infrastructure and capital projects

  • Develop and implement commercial and contracting strategies

  • Manage contract negotiations, variations, claims and risk allocation

  • Provide commercial advice to project directors and executive stakeholders

  • Oversee financial governance, cost control and commercial reporting

  • Support procurement strategies and supplier engagement

  • Ensure compliance with governance, probity and regulatory requirements

  • Mentor and develop commercial and project team members

About You

  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  • Significant experience in commercial management within infrastructure, utilities, energy or major projects

  • Strong background in contract administration and commercial negotiations

  • Experience managing complex stakeholder and contractor environments

  • Sound understanding of risk allocation, procurement and delivery models

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Structured, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach
