About the Role
Consultive is partnering with a respected civil contractor to appoint an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to oversee operations at a busy pre-fabrication facility supporting major Melbourne Airport infrastructure works.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day site operations, coordinating personnel, subcontractors, logistics and safety across a high-volume materials handling environment. With significant truck movements, stockpile management and site coordination responsibilities, this role will suit a practical, hands-on supervisor who enjoys leading teams and keeping operations running efficiently.
This is an immediate requirement with work through to December and potential for longer-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations across the pre-fabrication and logistics facility
- Lead site personnel and subcontractors to maintain safety, productivity and quality standards
- Coordinate deliveries, contractor bookings and site access requirements
- Manage truck, trailer and plant movements throughout the facility
- Oversee stockpile areas and materials handling activities
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with site procedures
- Act as a key point of contact for contractors and operational stakeholders
- Support general site maintenance and operational requirements
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure activities remain on schedule
About You
- Experience as a Foreman, Site Supervisor or Senior Leading Hand within civil construction, earthworks, quarry or logistics environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors
- Knowledge of site logistics, truck movements and materials handling operations
- Safety-focused with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing contractor communications, bookings and basic administration
- Able to work autonomously while driving site performance and accountability
