Australian Training Company is seeking a 1st year Heavy vehicle apprentice who is wanting to complete their Certificate III Automotive – Heavy Commercial Vehicle apprenticeship with a large and reputable transport company. With a fleet of over 100 vehicles you will sure to be exposed to all the requirements to help you complete your trade.
DUTIES:
- Repair, maintain and service transmission, steering and braking systems
- Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations)
- Troubleshoot braking systems, steering and cooling systems
- Maintenance of equipment including brakes and suspension
- Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
- Follow directions from tradespeople
REQUIREMENTS:
- passionate about vehicles, mechanics and/or the motor industry
- keen to learn, enthusiastic and can work in a productive team environment
- punctual & reliable
- driver’s license
