As a Casual Catering Assistant at our Brisbane venue, you’ll help deliver quality catering experiences in a professional, fast-paced environment. Working alongside the kitchen and events teams, you’ll get involved in food preparation, service and event setups, with the opportunity to take on extra responsibility by helping coordinate staff and keep service running smoothly when venue managers are not present. Most shifts will be during weekday business hours, with occasional weekend work.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help keep catering operations running smoothly, ensuring food is well presented, service areas are clean and guests receive great service. In this role, you will:

• Assist with food preparation, set up refreshments and serve lunch at events and conferences

• Maintain clean, organised kitchen and catering areas, including dishwashing and equipment care

• Support event setups and resets as needed

• Help coordinate staff and keep service on track in the absence of venue managers

What You’ll Bring

You understand the importance of consistency, presentation and teamwork in delivering a great guest experience. You will have:

• Some food preparation or hospitality experience, ideally in a commercial kitchen, venue or events environment.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety

• A reliable, calm approach, clear communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure

• Leadership experience or confidence helping coordinate others will be an advantage.
