We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join Pedersen NT Pty Ltd. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and experienced in first and second fix carpentry, framing, formwork and installations, with the ability to interpret plans and deliver high-quality workmanship across construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Interpret plans, drawings and specifications and determine materials and installation requirements.
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry works.
- Construct and install wall and roof framing, flooring, cladding, doors, windows, fixtures and associated building components.
- Undertake construction, refurbishment, repair and maintenance works to existing buildings and facilities.
- Measure, cut, assemble and install timber, steel and other construction materials.
- Undertake formwork and other general construction activities as required.
- Identify materials, tools and equipment required to complete allocated works.
- Work independently and as part of a team on remote construction sites.
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Comply with project specifications, WHS requirements, company procedures and site requirements.
- Assist with general construction duties as reasonably required to complete projects.
Applicants must have:
- Relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full-time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
- Experience in first and second fix carpentry, construction, refurbishment and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in accurate measuring, cutting and set-out techniques.
- Competence in the safe and effective use of carpentry hand and power tools.
- Strong skills in framing, formwork and general carpentry techniques.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
A salary of $95,000 - $115,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
