Our client is a rapidly growing Alternative Assets capital markets firm focussed on a diverse range of alternative asset classes, including but not limited to, real estate, private credit, corporate loans, asset backed lending, private equity and structured products.
The Deal Execution Manager sits within the Capital Markets division which is responsible for the full deal management process, from origination to execution, on complex structured finance transactions.
As an execution specialist, you will play a critical role in the execution of investment transactions across various alternative asset classes. Working closely with portfolio managers, structurers and middle office, you will be responsible for ensuring that trades are executed seamlessly, optimising transaction costs and contributing to the overall success of the business
The ideal candidate will have a capital markets legal or deal execution background having worked in the financial services industry or at a recognised law firm. They will have proven technical skills and an ability to work both independently and within a wider team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare or review NDA’s, term sheets (borrower and investor), trust deeds, transaction docs, legal opinions and due diligence sign offs.
- Be a key part of the investment team in the negotiation and execution of transactions, acting as the team’s execution specialist.
- Execute deals across a diverse range of alternative asset classes, including but not limited to, real estate, private credit, corporate loans, asset backed lending, private equity and structured products.
- Communicate with middle office to ensure that Capital Markets transactions are processed accurately without delays.
- Work within a high performing Capital Markets team to ensure that documents reflect the wants and needs of all related parties.
- Work closely with our external legal service providers and internal legal team to mitigate execution related risk and minimise transactions costs.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in capital markets legal roles or previous deal execution role.
- About 5+ years of experience would be favourable but other experience will also be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, economics, or other related discipline.
- Further study will be highly regarded.
- Significant understanding of corporate loans, property based lending and asset backed securitisation structures.
