Goldy Caravans Pty Ltd is a caravan manufacturer based on the Gold Coast. We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our production team full-time. You'll make, assemble and install cabinetry and joinery for our caravans, working from technical drawings, specifications and production schedules.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications
- Measuring, marking, cutting and shaping timber, manufactured boards and other materials
- Making and assembling cabinetry, cupboards, drawers, shelving and other joinery for caravan interiors
- Operating woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools safely and accurately
- Installing hinges, handles, drawer runners and other cabinet hardware
- Fitting and installing finished cabinetry and joinery into caravans
- Inspecting completed work for quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Keeping the work area clean and safe
Applicants for this position should:
- Hold a Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent, or have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a cabinet maker in place of formal qualifications
- Have at least 1 year of recent experience in cabinet making, joinery or furniture manufacturing
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Have experience operating woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Have strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Be able to work on their own and as part of a team
- Have a working knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures
Remuneration
$80,000 to $95,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
