Whether you're a Software Engineer looking to tackle more complex technical challenges, a Senior Engineer seeking greater ownership, or a Staff Engineer who enjoys influencing architecture and mentoring others, this team is hiring across multiple levels and backgrounds.
Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll help build the software platforms, frameworks and core infrastructure that power advanced autonomy, AI, perception and mission systems. This is an opportunity to work where software meets hardware, solving challenging problems across edge computing, sensor integration, imaging systems and real-world autonomous platforms.
This role would suit engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems, remaining hands-on with development and seeing their software operate on real-world systems rather than laboratory prototypes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern C++ software for Linux-based systems.
• Build software that interfaces with cameras, sensors, networking infrastructure and mission systems.
• Develop software for diagnostics, deployment tooling, automated testing and system integration.
• Optimise software for performance, reliability, latency and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning software, Linux, networking and hardware integration.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, autonomy, AI and test engineering teams.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design and engineering best practice.
• Support software verification, testing, deployment and continuous improvement activities.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction appropriate to your level.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Commercial experience developing software using modern C++.
• Experience working in Linux development environments.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including debugging, testing, concurrency and system design.
• Experience developing software for complex technical products or systems.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for building reliable software that solves real-world problems.

Highly Desirable

• ROS2, DDS, IPC or distributed systems experience.
• Multi-threaded, low-latency or high-performance C++ development.
• Imaging, video processing, computer vision or sensor integration experience.
• GStreamer, FFmpeg, OpenCV or related technologies.
• NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, GPU acceleration or edge-computing platforms.
• Robotics, autonomy, UAV, aerospace, automotive or other mission-critical industries.
• Automated testing, simulation, HWIL/SWIL, CI/CD or deployment tooling.
• Technical leadership, mentoring or architecture ownership experience.
