Bus Refueller (Bondi Junction)

Join Transdev John Holland Buses as a Refueller at our Waverley Depot near Bondi Junction train station. Enjoy permanent part-time evening hours, competitive pay of $34.58 per hour plus a 15% shift allowance, free public transport across Sydney and paid training

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 5pm-11pm (with 30 mins unpaid break) = paid 5.5 hours per day / paid 27.5 hours per week. 

About us:

Your work will support the public transport industry across bus Region 9 in Sydney’s iconic Eastern Suburbs. Working closely with the workshop, you will primarily be responsible for the refuelling of buses, parking of the buses and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area so that the buses operate in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Our Waverley depot is 7-8 minute walk from Bondi Junction train station.

Training will be provided to familiarise you with the fuelling process and the parking of buses in the yard. 

A FREE Opal card is offered for free travel on buses, ferries, train and light rail 7 days a week (work and personal use).

Additional shifts may be available to cover staff absences and Public Holidays, but these are not guaranteed.

Duties will include:

Refuelling buses 

Conducting pre-inspection checks to monitor bus conditions

Reporting any defects, damage or repairs

Move and park buses in the yard (training provided)

Complete all required paperwork

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven Maintenance /Fleet knowledge

Current NSW C class licence (MR or HR preferred but not essential) 

Well developed verbal and written skills

Ability to work autonomously

Strong safety focus due to handling flammable products
