This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of Class 110 buildings, providing a varied workload across assessment, certification, compliance, and advisory functions.This is an ideal opportunity for a building professional seeking a flexible contract position with the potential to extend beyond the initial engagement.
Your new role
Reporting to the Building Services leadership team, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking building assessment and certification activities across Class 1-10 developments.
- Providing expert advice on the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant legislation.
- Reviewing building applications, plans, and supporting documentation.
- Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Liaising with applicants, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Supporting building compliance and regulatory functions as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- A1 Building Surveyor Accreditation.
- Demonstrated experience assessing and certifying Class 1-10 buildings.
- Strong knowledge of the NCC, Building Act, and associated regulations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Local government experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
