Hays is partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper / Office Manager to support multiple entities across a diverse portfolio.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced SME environment and thrives on balancing bookkeeping, administration, and operational support responsibilities.
Your new role
Reporting directly to company Directors, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, managing financial processes and providing administrative support across multiple business entities.Key responsibilities include:

End-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable
Payroll processing, superannuation and leave management
Bank and supplier reconciliations
BAS and PAYG preparation for external lodgement
Client invoicing and debtor follow-up
Cash flow monitoring and financial reporting support
Maintaining financial records across multiple entities
Managing shared inboxes and administrative workflows
Calendar management, travel coordination and general office administration
Employee onboarding and record management
Supporting system improvements and operational processes
Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Office Manager or similar roleStrong working knowledge of Xero
Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software
Understanding of BAS, PAYG, payroll and superannuation requirements
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Strong communication skills and a professional approach
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
