Senior Marine Trades Technician | Marine Industry
We are seeking an experienced Marine Trades Technician, Boat Builder, or Shipwright to deliver expert vessel repairs and maintenance. The position would suit a boat builder, shipwright or marine all-rounder with practical experience across vessel repairs, refits and maintenance. Work on a varied range of vessels, from trailer boats through to vessels of approximately 100 feet

Role Overview – Marine Trades Technician

  • Requires solid practical skills in vessel repair, refits, composite fabrication, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical work. 
  • $40 to $50 per hour,
  • Location: Coomera (Northern QLD)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fibreglass and composite repairs including lamination and structural work.
  • Engage in diverse boat building and refit tasks for vessels ranging from small trailer boats up to large craft around 30 metres.
  • Perform plumbing, rigging, and skin fitting installations and maintenance duties.
  • Assist with mechanical tasks related to vessel upkeep and system improvements.
  • Work autonomously, maintaining high-quality standards and flexibility to support evolving marine service requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience with a variety of vessel types and sizes, including hands-on boat building and refit expertise.
  • Permanent residency or relevant work authorization required.
