Assistant Store Manager – Claremont Quarter

Claremont Quarter | New Store Opening | up to $67k + Super + Bonus

A brand-new store. A delicious product. A genuinely supportive team.

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join a beautiful new store opening at Claremont Quarter.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and much-loved chocolate brand at an exciting point of growth, with a brand-new store, a supportive leadership team and a product customers genuinely love.

About the role
As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll lead from the floor supporting your team, driving exceptional customer service and making sure the store looks and feels amazing every day.

You’ll be someone who enjoys being hands-on, gets energy from developing people and takes ownership of the day-to-day running of a store.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Store Manager with the daily operation and performance of the store
  • Leading by example in customer service, product knowledge and brand storytelling
  • Creating an engaging and immersive customer experience, including sampling and product presentation
  • Coaching, motivating and developing a team
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
  • Building a positive team culture where people feel supported, valued and trusted
  • Driving daily sales targets and celebrating team successes
  • Supporting rosters, productivity and commercial performance
  • Maintaining exceptional visual merchandising, product presentation and store standards
  • Managing stock levels, rotation and stock integrity
  • Ensuring food safety, OH&S, cash handling and compliance standards are maintained
  • Responding confidently to customer feedback and resolving issues positively
  • Communicating clearly with the Store Manager, Cluster Manager and wider business
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience, team performance and store results

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who has already stepped into an Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor or senior retail leadership role and is ready to take ownership.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience leading a retail team in a fast-paced customer environment
  • A genuine passion for people and delivering memorable customer experiences
  • Strong commercial awareness and a natural focus on achieving results
  • Confidence coaching and developing a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, engaging leadership style
  • A hands-on approach — you’re happiest leading from the floor, not the back room
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Resilience, adaptability and a solutions-focused mindset
  • A curious nature and a desire to continually find better ways of doing things
  • The ability to build trust and bring people with you

Chocolate experience isn't essential. What matters most is your leadership style, customer focus and desire to be part of something special.

The brand & culture
Passion, Leadership, Ownership and Trust are at the heart of everything this team does.

You’ll join a business that genuinely values people, encourages ideas and believes great customer experiences start with engaged, confident teams.

This is a supportive environment where you’ll be encouraged to learn, develop your product knowledge and understand the bigger picture behind the brand and the business.

Why you’ll love it

  • Brand-new Claremont Quarter store – be part of the opening team
  • Join a well-loved and premium chocolate brand
  • Supportive leadership team and a collaborative culture
  • Opportunity to make your mark from day one
  • Work alongside an experienced Cluster Manager and retail team
  • Strong focus on team development and customer experience
  • Tuesday–Saturday roster
  • Salary $65,000–$67,000 + super + bonus, depending on experience

Ready to make your mark?
If you’re an experienced retail leader who loves people, loves customers and, ideally, loves chocolate too, this could be a great next step.

Apply now with your resume, or reach out for a confidential conversation to find out more.
