About the role:

The Mount Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant in Nursing to become part of our dynamic Acute Surgical team. In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, support the delivery of exceptional patient-centred care, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients every day.

About Us:

Located near King's Park, Mount Private Hospital is Western Australia's leading private provider of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery supported by the largest private Critical Care Unit (CCU). While we're at the heart of private cardiac services in our state, with 224 beds, we bring the same clinical excellence to other specialities such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and general surgery.

The Mount Private Hospital is supported by a state executive team, our corporate services team and the Healthscope network.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
  • Work as part of the health care team and practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters for AIN's
  • Assess patients' needs using therapeutic skills
  • Answering patient/visitor/customer inquiries

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise the required workload
  • Minimum of 2nd Year Student Nurse or hold a Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services /AIN training
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and model Healthscope's values
  • Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and WANMA/ANMF- WA Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $30.32 - $31.23 p/h.
