Asbestos Laboratory Manager | Senior | Environmental Testing

Seeking experienced Asbestos Laboratory Managers to provide expert leadership and precise asbestos analysis within a respected environmental testing organisation. This is a permanent full-time role offering the chance to lead laboratory operations in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee asbestos laboratory testing including fibre counting and identification of asbestos in bulk samples.
  • Develop and manage operational procedures and ensure thorough documentation for testing protocols.
  • Manage accreditation requirements and maintain compliance with recognised national standards.
  • Lead recruitment, coordinate workloads, and develop the laboratory team.
  • Contribute to the expansion and introduction of new laboratory processes and technologies relevant to the environmental sector.
  • Work closely with environmental service teams to provide technical asbestos analysis expertise.
  • Implement quality assurance practices to uphold high testing standards and accreditation.

  • Proven leadership in team management, including staff development.
  • In-depth understanding of asbestos fibre quantification and bulk identification techniques.
  • Legal right to work in Australia.
