About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Aged or Disabled carer to provide person-centred support to people living with disability in Alice Springs.
Key Duties
- Provide personal and daily living support based on individual needs and care plans.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility and meals.
- Support independence, social participation and community engagement.
- Assist clients with recreational and community activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' wellbeing and support needs.
- Maintain accurate records and client confidentiality.
- Promote dignity, choice, independence and safety.
- Work respectfully with clients, families, Aboriginal communities and health professionals.
Essential Requirements
- At least 1 to 2 years of relevant disability support or community care experience.
- Relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or a related field, where applicable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to person-centred and culturally respectful support.
- Current driver's licence, where required.
- Ability to obtain required police and employment screening clearances.
