Afternoon shift machine operator with overhead crane experience needed in Unanderra
Your new companyA leading steel and reinforcement supplier is seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Truck Loader to join their highperforming afternoon shift team. This is a handson role suited to someone who thrives in a fastpaced, safetyfocused environment and enjoys variety in their daytoday duties.
Your new roleYou will be responsible for both truck loading operations and machine operation within the production facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence operating heavy machinery, and the ability to coordinate workflow efficiently.
Truck Loading Responsibilities
- Crane operations using a 5T crane to load trucks with mesh, rebar and accessories
- Preparing 2010T multidrop loads for nextday delivery
- Forklift operations for material handling
- Moving trucks onsite to required locations
- Organising job orders and coordinating truck runs
Machine Operator Responsibilities
- Operating a Manual Bending Machine (12mm36mm rebar, various shapes)
- Operating a Sheerline Cutting Machine (12mm36mm rebar to required lengths)
- Operating an Offcoil Machine (automatic bending and cutting of 12mm16mm coiled rebar)
Additional Duties
- First Aid Officer responsibilities
- Stock take and inventory support
- Customer service retrieving and loading customer orders
- Unloading stock trucks (6m12m rebar and mesh)
- Unloading deliveries as required
What youll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a similar machine operation or truck loading role
- Crane and forklift competency
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to safety
