Are you ready to lead our afternoon shift operations at Laminex Tullamarine?
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Afternoon Shift Supervisor to support the Afternoon Shift Manager and help lead our warehouse team. This is a salaried position with a 17.5% loading, working in the Afternoon Shift, starting times may vary.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading daily warehouse and despatch operations.
- Allocating work and monitoring productivity, picking accuracy and team performance.
- Checking completed orders and truck loads before despatch.
- Ensuring loads are accurate, safe and secure before leaving the site.
- Coaching team members and addressing performance concerns or workplace conflict fairly and professionally.
- Investigating picking and loading errors and implementing practical improvements.
- Maintaining strong safety, quality and compliance standards.
- Working with other departments to achieve accurate, on-time deliveries.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous warehouse, despatch or logistics leadership experience.
- A confident and approachable people leader who can build strong working relationships.
- Strong communication, coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
- The ability to make decisions and independently run the shift when required.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on picking and loading accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse systems, RF scanning, inventory control and load restraint.
- A proactive approach to safety, performance and continuous improvement.
- A current forklift licence is a must.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and WMS.
- Experience in supply chain scheduling, warehouse planning, and analysis.
- Understanding of OH&S and COR legislation and responsibilities.
