Advisory Officer 
$42 per hour + super | initial 10-week contract | Parramatta, NSW

  • Short-term project with an established public sector organisation
  • Monday to Friday, fully onsite in Parramatta
  • Ideal for candidates with insurance claims or paralegal experience

We are seeking an experienced Advisory Officer to support a 10-week client review project based in Parramatta.

This role will involve reviewing customer records to identify individuals who may potentially meet the eligibility criteria for a Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance claim. You will analyse relevant information, document your findings and prepare clear recommendations for management review.

Role details:

  • Rate: $42 per hour + superannuation, PAYG
  • Duration: 10-week contract
  • Location: Parramatta
  • Working arrangement: Fully on-site, Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 35 hours per week

Key responsibilities:

  • Review customer files to identify potential eligibility for TPD insurance claims
  • Assess available insurance, medical, employment and financial information
  • Interpret relevant policy terms, eligibility criteria and supporting documentation
  • Conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based recommendations
  • Prepare accurate case summaries, reports and project documentation
  • Maintain detailed records and manage sensitive information appropriately
  • Provide project updates and communicate with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with project tracking, deliverables and general implementation activities

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in life insurance claims, particularly TPD, income protection or disability claims; or
  • A paralegal or legal support background within insurance, personal injury, workers compensation or a related area
  • Strong analytical, research and file-review skills
  • Experience interpreting policies, guidelines or eligibility requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
  • The ability to prepare clear, accurate and well-supported recommendations
  • Confidence handling confidential and sensitive customer information
  • The ability to work effectively within a structured, deadline-driven project

The successful candidate will be required to complete a National Criminal Record Check and provide two professional references.
