6-Month Contract (Part-Time) - Business Continuity Specialist
- Support the Operational Resilience Program as a Business Continuity Specialist.
- Implement and manage the BCM lifecycle across the organisation.
- Facilitate Business Impact Assessments and develop continuity plans.
Company Overview
Our client is a large organisation within the insurance and financial services sector, seeking an experienced Business Continuity Management (BCM) Specialist to support its Operational Resilience Program.
This is a part-time opportunity (2–3 days per week), focusing on embedding the BCM lifecycle and supporting the implementation of a BCM module within RiskConnect.
Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation and ongoing management of the BCM lifecycle across the organisation.
- Facilitate Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and recovery strategies.
- Design and facilitate business continuity exercises, scenario testing and maturity assessments.
- Support the implementation of the RiskConnect BCM module, including gathering business requirements, testing and data quality.
- Partner with business, risk and technology stakeholders to strengthen operational resilience and IT disaster recovery capabilities.
- Provide specialist advice, assurance and reporting on BCM activities, risks and improvement opportunities.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Extensive experience in Business Continuity Management, ideally 10+ years within complex or regulated environments.
- Proven experience implementing BCM frameworks, conducting BIAs and developing continuity plans.
- Strong understanding of ISO 22301, BCI Good Practice Guidelines and CPS 230 principles.
- Experience with BCM/GRC platforms such as RiskConnect, RSA Archer or similar, including system implementation or business requirements gathering.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to deliver independently.
- Insurance, financial services or government experience highly regarded.
